China's Yang Lu Goes Big in Event #10: PL Omaha Hi-Lo - 5 Card (Big O)

It was the KRW 600,000 PL Omaha Hi-Lo - 5 Card (Big O) kicking off the side event action from Day 2 of the series, with the tournament drawing 50 entries (33 unique).

These Big O enthusiasts duked it out over twenty-five 25-minute levels, all looking to earn a share of the KRW 26,190,000 (~USD 19,020) prize pool.

It was China’s Yang Lu who proved his five-card credentials, defeating Australia’s Andrew Shanahan heads-up to claim the KRW 8,250,000 (~USD 5,990) top prize, and the all-important trophy & title.

Shanahan collected KRW 5,960,000 (~USD 4,330) for his runner-up finish, with Taiwan’s Shao Me Yang rounding out the podium and taking KRW 3,800,000 (~USD 2,760) for third place.

Japan’s Daiki Aoki (4th for KRW 2,880,000) and the USA’s Benjamin Jacobs (6th for KRW 1,700,000) also fought their way through to the seven paying positions, with the tournament paying out as follows:

China’s Boxin Jin Claims Maiden APT Title in Event #11: NL Hold'em – Freezeout

Getting underway at 2:30pm local time, the KRW 2M Event #11: NL Hold'em - Freezeout saw 25 players enter the action, battling at the baize for eighteen 25-minute levels to win a slice of the KRW 43,650,000 (~USD 31,700) prize pool.

Once again, it was a Chinese player taking the tournament top spot with Boxin Jin besting compatriot and Korea National Cup Flight A frontrunner Fei Wang head-up to claim the KRW 18,333,000 (~USD 13,310) top prize, in addition to his maiden APT title.

Wang walked away with KRW 12,222,000 (~USD 8,875) for his first final table appearance of the festival, with Taiwan’s Hao-Ting Chao completing the winner’s triumvirate and earning a KRW 7,857,000 (~USD 5,700) payday for third place.

Hong Kong’s Edward Yam was the only other player to make the money, taking KRW 5,238,000 (~USD 3,800) for fourth place.

China’s Jun Weng Draws to Victory in Event #12: Limit Triple Draw Mix (A-5, 2-7, High)

Team China is running hot in the series side events, going three for three with Jun Weng the latest man from the Middle Kingdom to bag some silverware, claiming his maiden career APT title after overcoming a 19-strong (17 unique) field to take the lion’s share of the KRW 9,952,200 (~USD 7,225) prize pool.

Weng bested Japan’s Kenji Kurashina heads-up to earn a KRW 4,180,200 (~USD 3,035) top prize in addition to the all-important trophy & title, with Kurashina collecting a KRW 2,787,000 (~USD 2,020) windfall for his runner-up finish.

Taiwan’s Li-Ta “Leon” Hsu took KRW 1,791,000 (~USD 1,300) for third place, with the UK’s Craig Cooper the only other player to make the money, receiving a KRW 1,194,000 (~USD 870) payout for his second final table appearance in as many days.

China’s Zejun Liu Locks Up the Win in Event #13: Turbo - High Roller

The KRW 1.1M Event #13: Turbo - High Roller got underway at 7:10pm local time and attracted 26 entries (23 unique), generating a KRW 24,996,000 (~USD 18,150) prize pool.

Once again it was China dominating the side event action, with Zejun Liu fighting his way to the tournament top spot over the fifteen fast-paced 15-minute levels.

Liu triumphed over Japan’s Kanata Hongo to claim the KRW 10,486,800 (~USD 7,615) top prize, earning his maiden APT title in the process.

Hongo collected KRW 6,991,000 (~USD 5,075) for second place, with Singapore’s Kennie Tay (3rd for KRW 4,494,000) and Hong Kong’s Tsz Chung Yip (4th for KRW 2,996,000) the only other players to make the money.

Japan’s Kaoru Kishimoto Doubles Career APT Titles in Event #14: Turbo - NL Omaha Hi-Lo - 5 Card (Big O)

The second of the days’ Big O tournaments – the KRW 400,000 Event #14: Turbo - NL Omaha Hi-Lo - 5 Card (Big O) – kicked off at 7:30pm local time, drawing 31 entries (22 unique) and generating a KRW 10,704,920 (~USD 7,770) prize pool.

The action played out over seventeen fast-paced 15-minute levels, with Japan’s Kaoru Kishimoto claiming the KRW 3,959,920 (~USD 2,875) top prize.

Kishimoto defeated Australia’s Antonio Seremet heads-up to earn his second career APT title, both of which have come in 5-card Omaha events.

Seremet earned his first live cash on Asian soil, taking KRW 2,730,000 (~USD 1,980) for his runner-up finish, with Japan’s Takanori Yamagiwa rounding out the winner’s podium and taking KRW 1,740,000 (~USD 1,260) for third place. Japan’s Yuji Watanabe Wins Third APT Title in Event #15: Hyper Turbo - NL Single Draw 2-7

The first of the evening’s turbo tournament’s – the KRW 300,000 Event #15: Hyper Turbo - NL Single Draw 2-7 – got underway at 9:45pm local time, drawing 53 entries (45 unique) and generating a KRW 13,572,240 (~USD 9,855) prize pool.

It took Japan’s Yuji Watanabe twenty turbo-charged 10-minute levels to earn his third career APT title, besting Taiwan’s Chi Jen Chu heads-up to claim the **KRW 4,274,240 (~USD 3,100) top prize.

Chu took KRW 3,088,000 (~USD 2,240) for his runner-up finish, with China’s Wei Zhao following up his victory in Event #5: Turbo – NL Omaha by making a second final table showing in as many days, earning KRW 1,968,000 (~USD 1,430) for his third-place finish.

Hong Kong’s Sparrow Cheung made his first final table appearance of the festival, banking KRW 1,493,000 (~USD 1,080) for fourth place, with seven players making the money and the tournament paying out as follows:

Philippines’ Charles Pansoy Claims Maiden APT Title in Event #16: Super Hyper Turbo - Win the Button

The last of the evening’s late-night offerings – the KRW 300,000 Event #16: Super Hyper Turbo - Win the Button drew an 87-strong field (81 unique), with players fighting it out at the felt over twenty-nine high-octane 5-minute levels to claim their share of the KRW 22,278,960 (~USD 16,180) prize pool.

It was the Philippines’ Charles Pansoy who claimed the accolades and the KRW 5,848,960 (~USD 4,250) top prize, overcoming China’s Guangyong Wu to snag his maiden live tournament title in the process.

Wu walked away with KRW 4,099,000 (~USD 2,975) for his runner-up finish, with Mongolia’s Enkhbold Byambajav following up on his final table appearance in the Korea National Cup with a third-place finish, which was good for KRW 2,707,000 (~USD 1,965). A total of 13 players made the money, with the tournament paying out as follows:
