MANILA, PHILIPPINES, September 10, 2024 – The Asian Poker Tour—sponsored by Natural8—is pleased to announce a brand new festival, the APT Manila 2024, which is scheduled for the middle of Q4, 2024.
Running from Monday, October 28 to Thursday, November 7, in partnership with Soul Poker the festival boasts over PHP 170 million (~USD 3 million) in prize pool guarantees.
Playing out at the tournament tables of the City of Dreams Manila luxury resort, the highlight of the 11-day series will be the PHP 85,000 (~USD 1,510) APT Main Event—playing out October 31 to November 6—which comes with a hefty PHP 100 million (~USD 1.78 million) guarantee.
This marks the first APT New Era visit to the Philippines capital following a two-year hiatus, with local Moses Saquing the last man to hoist the old school APT Main Event trophy in Manila during APT Philippines 2022 – defeating a 380-strong field to claim the lion’s share of the PHP 23,280,000 (USD 405,823) prize pool.
Things have certainly changed over the last 24 months, with the APT Manila 2024 Main Event guarantee coming in at over four times the size of the tour’s previous Manila-based tournament offering!
SERIES HIGHLIGHTS
The action kicks off with the two-day PHP 12,000 (~USD 210) Philippines National Cup, which comes with a PHP 4 million (~USD 71k) guarantee and plays out Monday, October 28 to Tuesday, October 29.
The action-packed opening week also features the PHP 6 million (~USD 106k) guaranteed Mystery Bounty Hunter – Sponsored by Natural8, running October 29-30, the PHP 6 million guaranteed Super Stack, running October 30, and the PHP 15 million (~USD 267k) guaranteed APT Super High Roller – which will award the first of the festival's coveted signature lion trophies.
There are also daily high-roller tournaments, including the PHP 1.5 million (~USD 26k) buy-in Superstar Challenge (November 1-2), the PHP 300k (USD 5.3k) buy-in Baby Superstar Challenge (November 5), and the PHP 200k (USD 3.5k) buy-in APT High Roller (November 6-7) which comes with a PHP 15 million (~USD 267k) guarantee.
Of course, the highlight of the festival will be the PHP 85,000 (USD ~1,510) buy-in APT Main Event and its PHP 100 million (~USD 1.7 million) prize pool guarantee.
