Getting underway immediately after the conclusion of APT Manila 2024, the APT Phu Quoc 2024 is running from Friday, November 8 to Sunday, November 17, in partnership with VPT with the festival boasting over VND 44 billion (~USD 1.7 million) in prize pool guarantees!
Playing out at at the luxurious Corona Resort & Casino, the highlight of the 10-day series will be the APT Main Event—playing out November 11 to 16—which comes with a VND 25 billion (~USD 1 million) guarantee.
This marks the first APT New Era visit to Phu Quoc following an 18-month hiatus, and the tours third visit overall. Things have certainly changed over the last year and a half, with the APT Phu Quoc 2024 Main Event guarantee almost doubling the 2023 Main Event prize pool of VND 14.7 billion (USD 620K), which saw the UK’s Jacque Ramsden triumph over a 507-strong field to claim a VND 2.3 billion (USD 99K) top prize.
SERIES HIGHLIGHTS
The action kicks off with the three-day, six flight VND 9M (~USD 360) Vietnam National Cup, which plays out from Friday, November 8 to Sunday, November 10 and comes with a VND 5 billion (~USD 201K) guarantee.
The action-packed opening weekend will also see the first of the festivals award-winning APT Lion Trophies awarded in the VND 3 billion (~USD 120K) guaranteed APT Super High Roller, running November 9, with the VND 1.5 billion guaranteed Sunday Super Stack also playing out on November 10.
Of course, the highlight of the festival will be the VND 36M (~USD 1,450) buy-in APT Main Event and its VND 25 billion (~USD 1 million) prize pool guarantee.
Other featured events include the VND 2.5 billion (~USD 100K) guaranteed Zodiac Classic, running November 14-15, and the VND 2.5 billion (~USD 100K) guaranteed Double Stack, running November 15-16.
