TAIPEI, TAIWAN, October 1, 2024 – With over USD 40,000 in added value bounties, this exciting USD 800 Event #44 Mystery Bounty Hunter - Powered by ByBit tournament was open to any player who signed up to the exclusive promotion provided by the APT's newest sponsor Bybit – the world’s second-largest crypto currency exchange with over 40 million users worldwide and over 25 billion daily average trading volume.

This drew a field of 208 entries (172 unique), generating a USD 102,170 prize pool, and with a further USD 40,000 in bounties up for grabs, plus other assorted merchandise kindly provided by Bybit, including Bybit cards and 2 month VIP membership, poker chip sets, and travel sets, there was a great deal of added value to be had.

It was the Netherland's Tom Verbruggen who claimed the accolades, defeating Thailand's Sutthipong Phanchapo heads-up to earn a USD 21,580 top prize, scalping seven opponents on his way to victory for a further USD 4,900 in bounties.

Verbruggen, who signed up for a Bybit account on the day of the event, gave his views on the tournament immediately after claiming the third largest cash of his tournament career to date:

"Initially I had an issue with signing up, and also late registered, but would like to commend Bybit's customer service, who were great, particularly Louis Tan who helped me with the online fund transfers. This was a great event," stated an elated Verbruggen just after posing for his winner's photograph.

It was Phanchapo who proved the most adept and bounty hunting however, felting eight opponents on the way to his runner-up finish, which earned him USD 14,550—the highest score of his poker career to date—plus a further USD 23,700 in bounty payouts.

The UK's Ian Au-Yang rounded out the last of the podium positions, collecting USD 10,260 for his bronze finish, plus a further four bounties which were good for an additional USD 1,600.

Taiwan’s Chi Jen Chen was another experienced player to cash, padding out his USD 817,000 in live tournament winnings with a further USD 5,000 score.

Event #10 Mystery Bounty Hunter champion Isaac Phua proved his earlier win was no fluke, final tabling yet again, finishing in ninth place for a USD 2,210 payday plus a further USD 2,100 after claiming three bounties. A total of 31 players made the money, with the final table paying out as follows:
