MANILA, PHILIPPINES, October 31, 2024 – Canada’s Philipp Zukernik continued his winning streak with a back-to-back victory in Event #34: NL Hold'em - Freezeout. Zukernik, who took down Event #20: Super Stack - PHP 6,000,000 GTD the previous day, emerged victorious again from a field of 72 entries to claim the top prize of PHP 733,240 (~USD 12,464). This win pushed Zukernik’s live earnings beyond the USD 1 million mark.

South Korea’s Jeonggyu Cho finished as the runner-up, earning PHP 528,000 (~USD 8,976), while Japan’s Yuji Yaginuma rounded out the top three with PHP 343,000 (~USD 5,831).

Notable final table members include Natural8 ambassador Nevan Chang, continuing his strong series with another final table appearance.

Japan’s Matsuda and Mateo Team Wins Event #25: NL Hold'em - Teams Event

In a valiant display of teamwork, Japan’s Michikiko Matsuda and the Philippines’ Christopher Mateo clinched victory in Event #25: NL Hold'em - Teams Event. Competing against 52 entries (26 teams), Matsuda and Mateo outlasted a competitive field to take home the top prize of PHP 113,770 (~USD 1,934) each.

In addition, 20% of the prize pool was reserved as a “Last Team Standing” bonus for the team with both players remaining in the tournament the longest, which went to Taiwan’s Po Yu Chen and Jui Tai. The pair received a bonus of PHP 70,200 (~USD 1,193) each for their achievement.

Japan’s Shohei Kuroda and Kana Takeuchi claimed second place, earning PHP 75,500 (~USD 1,284) each. Japan’s Kyosuke Nagami and Atsushi Takeuchi rounded out the top three with PHP 48,500 (~USD 825) each.

Keating, who previously made a final table appearance in Event #11: Single Day High Roller - Mystery Bounty, topped a competitive field of 13 entries to claim the top prize of PHP 653,880 (~USD 11,115). This is Keating’s first APT series.

Australia’s David Wang finished in second place, taking home PHP 436,000 (~USD 7,412), while China’s Zhen Chen rounded out the top three with PHP 272,000 (~USD 4,624).

Kwan navigated through a field of 55 entries (47 unique) to win the top prize of PHP 918,040 (~USD 15,606), reinforcing his strong form in the series.

Japan’s Goh Iwamoto finished as the runner-up, taking home PHP 660,000 (~USD 11,220), while Taiwan’s Shao Me Yang secured third place with PHP 430,000 (~USD 7,310).
