The German Niko Koop is the chip leader of the TWD 110,000 APT High Roller. After a slow start inside the Chinese Majong League, the registrations kept pouring in, ending at a total of 275 entries (192 unique), creating a total prize pool of TWD 26,136,000 (~$809,500). This means the guaranteed prize pool of TWD 11,000,000 was more than doubled! The winner of this event will be taking home TWD 5,244,000 (~$164,850).

Of the 61 players that made it to Day 2, four players bagged over 1 million chips. Closely following Koop, who ended the day with 1,185,000 chips, is the Brazilian Sebastian Iargo with 1,174,000. Iargo will be in great contention to surpass his current career-high cash of USD 6,335 which he achieved earlier this series in Event #21 Single Day High Roller - Mystery Bounty.

Tough Day For Kunal Patni

PostedJust nowby Life of Poker - Jonas

APT-HRD1-H-63.JPG Kunal Patni

This was not Kunal Patni's day. He was struggling all day to build up a stack. Combine it with two coolers, there is not much he could have done to survive the day. After running his KK into AA and AK earlier today, he just busted in the last level of the day with A♥ K♦ against Zhan Guo's A♠ A♣.

Jeremy Min To Live Another Day

PostedJust nowby Life of Poker - Jonas

Kon Tang opened from early-position and Nuttapath Saisilp called on the button. Jeremy Min got dealt A♥ J♥ and jammed his 15 big-blinds. Kon Tang re-jammed, covering both players. Saisilp tanked, as it turned out he had pocket tens, but decided to get out of the way.

Tang was the favorite to bust out Min with A♦ K♥, but the A♠ J♣ 8♠ flop gave Min the lead which he could hold to double up and is now in great contention to make day 2.
