Playing out in the early hours of Sunday morning, the TWD 13,000 Event #102: Turbo - Double Stack saw 82 entries (75 unique) battling for a share of the **TWD 930,618 (~USD 29,600) prize pool, with the action playing out over twenty-one 15-minute levels.
It was Hong Kong’s Justin Chan the man to claim the accolades, defeating compatriot Cho Hin Chan heads-up to take a TWD 254,618 (~USD 8,100) top prize and more importantly, his first career APT title.
Chan boasts over USD 500,000 in live tournament winnings, with results dating back to 2009 on his poker resume and has made several deep runs in APT events over the years, but that all elusive APT title had remained tantalisingly out of reach. However, Chan has removed that monkey from his back and now has a shiny new trophy with which to adorn his mantle.
Opponent Cho Hin Chan, who was gunning for his maiden live tournament title, had to settle for the TWD 182,000 (~USD 5,790) on offer for second, with Taiwan’s Wen Liang Lee rounding out the podium and collecting TWD 119,000 (~USD 3,785) for third place. The TWD 25,000 Event #103: Hyper Turbo - High Roller drew a 34-strong field (27 unique), generating a TWD 742,050 (~USD 23,605) prize pool with the action playing out over eighteen turbo-charged 10-minute levels.
It was Japan’s Jun Obara who fought his way through to victory, besting Wooram Cho heads-up to deny the South Korean player a second series title and claim his first of the festival. Obara banked TWD 275,050 (~USD 8,750) for his win, earning his second career APT high-roller title in the process.

The TWD 5,000 Event #105: Hyper Turbo - NL Single Draw Mix (Badugi, A-5, Badacey, 2-7, Badeucy, High) saw 21 draw poker enthusiasts (21 unique) hit the card tables of the CML (Chinese Mahjong League 華人麻將競技聯盟), duking it out over eighteen 10-minute levels for a share of the TWD 88,609 (~USD 2,820) prize pool.
It was Switzerland’s Yannick Jobin who claimed the lion’s share, defeating Jeong Yeol Yu heads-up to earn a TWD 36,609 (~USD 1,165) top prize and maiden APT title, denying the South Korean player his third title of the series.
