MANILA, PHILIPPINES, July 17, 2024 – The Asian Poker Tour—sponsored by Natural8—is pleased to announce the full schedule details for the upcoming APT Taipei Poker Classic 2024, running September 27 to October 7.
Run in partnership with the Chinese Texas Hold’em Poker Club (CTP), the 11-day festival will be held across two venues 1.7km apart; the CTP Asia Poker Arena (APA)—Asia's largest permanent poker room—and the CML (Chinese Mahjong League 華人麻將競技聯盟) both located in central Taipei.
With the tour’s last outing in Taipei resulting in the largest and richest poker series in the regions’ history, expectations are high for another great festival. Especially when you consider the added attraction of over TWD 150 million (~USD 4.6 million) in prize pool guarantees.
Named "Classic" in reference to the first of the record-breaking new era festivals – the APT Taipei 2023 – which came with a Main Event buy-in of TWD 50,000 and a TWD 30 million guarantee, the tour's flagship APT Main Event sports the same great buy-in price but boasts over double the guarantee, which is set at a hefty TWD 65 billion (~ USD 2 million).
The action-packed series will feature 108 Trophy Events including a NL Hold'em - Heads Up (64 Cap) tournament, over 20 High Roller tournaments, pot limit Omaha (PLO), and draw poker tournament variations including a 19-game Dealer's Choice tournament and a Mix Game Masters 9 Game, plus an eclectic selection of No Limit Hold'em and Pot Limit Omaha variants, Short Deck, Crazy Pineapple, and more.
