The Asian Poker Tour is returning to Phu Quoc after an 18-month hiatus, with the APT Phu Quoc 2024 rounding off our calendar year of events; you will find it hard-pressed to find anywhere better to conclude the tour’s 2024 series than the famous beaches of Phu Quoc.
The island is currently attracting a great deal of attention and development as of late due to a drive for sustainable tourism, ensuring Phu Quoc remains and continues to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Part of this effort is Destination Corona, an initiative to drive sustainable tourism on Corona beach, Dai Coast, Phu Quoc.
The APT festival is part of a series of exciting events taking place in Corona this November. The lineup includes the MMA Lion Championship tournament, co-organised by the Vietnam Mixed Martial Arts Federation and Phu Quoc Tourism Investment and Development Joint Stock Company; the Lion Corona Golf Tournament; an exhibition and auction of paintings by renowned artist Bui Huu Hung; Audi test-driving experiences; a showcase of Jacob & Co watches; and of course, APT Phu Quoc 2024.
Poker festivals like APT play a role in driving tourism to wherever the tour bunkers down for a series, working with local partners – Corona Resort & Casino – to provide top flight tournament poker to both Vietnamese nationals and international players in a safe, secure and regulated gaming environment, right next to some of the world’s best beaches!
If the beaches of Phu Quoc aren’t enough to attract poker fans around the world, our prize pool guarantees certainly will, with the APT Phu Quoc 2024 schedule packed with 82 tournaments boasting over VND 44 billion (~USD 1.7 million) in prize pool guarantees.
With the tour’s three award-winning signature lion trophies up for grabs, and the VND 36M (~USD 1,450) APT Main Event sporting a VND 25 billion (~USD 1 million) guarantee – almost double that of the APT Phu Quoc 2023 Main Event – there has never been a better opportunity to get your hands on a trophy and work on your sun tan.
The APT’s previous four poker festivals have all set region records for player numbers and prize pools so the stage is set for some scintillating series action to close out the year.
As poker lovers ourselves, APT aims to bring the best poker tournament experience to poker fans from around the world. Part of that effort is immersing festival goers in the local culture, aiming to provide our player base the best traveling poker tourism experience in the locations we visit. APT is proud to be able to play a part in driving sustainable tourism to places like Corona, Phu Quoc and doing so for the long term wherever our festivals go.
Now put on your sunglasses (don’t forget to bring the poker face) and join us for a sun-tastic time at APT Phu Quoc 2024!
