HANOI, VIETNAM, February 10, 2023 – The official eight-handed final table is set in the APT Hanoi 2023 Main Event – partnered with the Vietnam Series of Poker (VSOP).

Playing out at the tournament tables of the VSOP Poker Club, the 654-strong Main Event field has been reduced down to the final eight players, all firmly focused on winning the lion's share of the ₫15,859,500,000 (US$666,099) prize pool.

All eight final tablists are guaranteed a payout of at least ₫314,340,000 ($13,202), but all will have their eye on the **₫3,025,950,000 ($127,089) top prize**.

It is Hai Nam Hoang the man sitting in pole position, and the Vietnamese player will be returning with a sizeable chip lead and a stack of 8,670,000 – valued at a sizable 108 big blinds – when play resumes on level 28 with blinds at 40,000/80,000 with a 80,000 big blind ante.

Hoang holds a third of the chips in play – more than double that of next closest rival Thanh Hai Nguyen.

Nguyen – the only player other than Hoang to return with a stack over 3-million – will start the final table with 4,050,000 in chips (51 big blinds).

While the two frontrunners have plenty of chips, they still have to contend with Zhao Feng, who will be returning fourth in the overall counts with a very playable 32 big blind stack.

The Singaporean boasts over $640,000 in live tournament cashes and is the field's sole remaining former APT Main Event champion, having taken down the APT Manila Main Event back in 2014.

Then there is Day 2 frontrunner German Bukharov; the Russian has already final tabled three events this series, finishing second in two of them, and will be hoping to go one better in the Main Event.

Of course, Vietnamese players Duc Trung Dinh, Son Le, and Tuan Tai Nguyen will all fancy their chances and all three have stacks of 30 big blinds or more with which to make their play for the title.

While Petr Rudnev will be returning as the shortest stack with 14 big blinds, the Russian player boasts over $130,000 in live cashes and has seven tournament titles under his belt.
