MANILA, PHILIPPINES, October 28, 2024 – Vietnam’s Nang Quang Nguyen, a seasoned pro with over USD 900,000 in live cashes, secured his second APT title in Event #2: Single Day High Roller - Freezeout after a chop deal with the Philippines' David Erquiaga.
Both agreed to split the prize pool evenly at PHP 954,750 (~USD 16,230 each) and flipped for the trophy, with Nguyen ultimately claiming the title. Nguyen outlasted 35 other high rollers en route to the title.
Japan’s Hirotaka Fukatsu finished in third place, taking home PHP 497,000 (~USD 8,449).

Yang takes home his first APT title.
Taiwan’s Shao Me Yang, a regular on the Asia circuit, captured his first APT title in Event #3: PL Omaha High. Yang overcame a challenging field of 25 entries (18 unique) to claim the top prize of PHP 229,625 (~USD 3,903), marking a significant achievement in his poker career.
Denmark’s Patrick Sebastian Wahlquist finished as the runner-up, taking home PHP 153,000 (~USD 2,601), while Hong Kong’s Wai Ting Chan secured third place with PHP 98,000 (~USD 1,666).

Vietnam’s Minh Vo Hoang claimed his first APT title in Event #5: Limit Hold'em, overcoming a field of 16 entries to secure the top prize of PHP 39,014 (~USD 663). This victory marks an important milestone for Hoang as he claims his first APT title.
Denmark’s Tobias Sung Fabech finished as the runner-up, earning PHP 26,000 (~USD 442), while Russia’s Svyatoslav Dvornikov rounded out the top three with PHP 16,000 (~USD 272).

Switzerland’s Martin Schamaun claimed his first career title in Event #6: Limit Triple Draw 2-7, overcoming a field of 23 entries (22 unique) to take the top prize of PHP 99,593 (~USD 1,693). Schamaun, who has amassed over USD 180,000 in live earnings, added this milestone victory to his growing list of accomplishments on the poker circuit.

Yip takes home his first APT title.
Colombia’s Gary Yip emerged victorious in Event #7: Turbo - PL Omaha Hi-Lo - 5 Card (Big O), capturing the title and top prize of PHP 107,080 (~USD 1,820). Yip outlasted a skilled field of mixed game players of 20 entries (16 unique) to claim his first victory of the festival.
Tony Khoang from the Netherlands finished as the runner-up, adding PHP 72,000 (~USD 1,224) to his live cashes, following up on his performance from the APT TPC 2024. Norway’s Tor Anton Myrvold Welo took third place with PHP 46,000 (~USD 782).

Chang’s form in APT festivals continues.
Taiwan’s Nevan Chang, a Natural8 ambassador with over USD 2 million in live earnings, added to his ever-expanding trophy collection by winning his eighth APT title in Event #8: Turbo - High Roller. Chang, a consistent force on the poker circuit, outlasted a competitive field of 31 high rollers (29 unique) to claim the top prize of PHP 350,205 (~USD 5,953), further expanding his cabinet of APT titles.
Local Marc Richelieu Rivera, who leads the country’s all-time money list, took second place with PHP 242,000 (~USD 4,114). Fellow Filipino Charles Ed Pansoy rounded out the top three, earning PHP 154,000 (~USD 2,618).
