MANILA, PHILIPPINES, November 7, 2024 – After narrowly missing out on claiming the coveted bronze lion APT High Roller trophy at the recent APT Taipei Poker Classic where he finished runner-up to Germany’s Martin Sedlak, India’s Rishi Mehra seized his chance at a trophy with a firm grip in the PHP 100,000 Event #103: High Roller - Last Chance.
Mehra triumphed over a 63 entry (49 unique) field to scoop the largest slice of the PHP 5,499,900 (~USD 93,500) prize pool, overcoming a tough final table featuring Natural8 Ambassador Yu Chung “Nevan” Chang, double Masters series title winner Li Ta “Leon” Hsu, the Philippines’ Christopher Mateo, and APT Taipei Poker Classic Mini Main Event and Bybit Mystery Bounty champion Tom Verbruggen.
It was Verbruggen and Mehra the last two standing, with the Indian player coming out on top to claim his maiden live tournament title and the all-important trophy, earning a PHP 1,603,900 (~USD 27,265) top prize.
Verbruggen collected PHP 1,155,000 (~USD 19,635) for his runner-up finish, with Mateo rounding out the winner’s podium and banking PHP 751,000 (~USD 12,770) for third place. Only the final nine players were paid, with the tournament results as follows:

China’s Xia Qi claimed his first APT title in the Micro Main Event
China’s Xia Qi channeled his positive poker energy to claim his maiden APT title victory in the PHP 6,000 Event #102: Micro Main Event, defeating a field of 89 entries (73 unique) to take the lion’s share of the PHP 450,642 (~USD 7,660) prize pool.
The action played out over twenty-nine 20-minute levels, with Qi besting Singapore’s Reuben Ng heads-up to take a PHP 130,643 (~USD 2,220) top prize, with Ng earning PHP 80,000 (~USD 1,360) for his runner-up finish.
The Philippines’ Jansen Tiu completed the winner’s triumvirate, taking PHP 50,000 (~USD 850) for third place. A total of 13 players were paid, with the final table results as follows:

The penultimate Omaha event of the festival—the PHP 20,000 Event #104: PL Omaha Hi-Lo - 5 Card (Big O)—saw a field of 19 entries (14 unique) compete for a PHP 328,054 (~USD 5,575) prize pool, with the action playing out over eighteen 20-minute levels.
It was Australia’s Antonio Seremet earning the plaudits, the PHP 138,054 (~USD 2,345) top prize, his second title of the series and fifth career APT title after besting compatriot Laurence Hall heads-up.
Hall, who was on the hunt for his maiden APT title, had to settle for second best and the PHP 92,000 (~USD 1,565) on offer for second place. Only the final four players made the money, with the tournament paying out as follows:

The last of the festival’s scheduled Turbo High Rollers to play out—the PHP 35,000 Event #106: Turbo - High Roller—saw 37 entries (34 unique) fight it out at the felt for a share of the PHP 1,130,535 (~USD 19,220) prize pool.
Taiwan’s Yu Chun Chen earned the accolades and the PHP 418,53 (~USD 57,115) top prize, defeating Malaysia’s Yan Wen Yee heads-up to claim his maiden APT tournament title.
Yee collected PHP 288,000 (~USD 4,900) for his runner-up finish, with South Korea’s Jeonggyu Cho taking bronze and a payout of PHP 184,000 (~USD 3,130) for third place. Five players were paid, with the tournament paying out as follows:

Michikiko Matsuda claimed his second series title in Event #107
The last of the festival’s scheduled Omaha events—the PHP 12,000 Event #107: Turbo - PL Omaha High—drew a field of 22 entries (18 unique), with players battling over twenty fast-paced 15-minute levels in an attempt to claim a share of the PHP 225,350 (~USD 3,830) prize pool.
It was Japan’s Michikiko Matsuda who came out on top, defeating South Korea’s Min Sung Lee heads-up to take the PHP 94,350 (~USD 1,600) top prize, earning his second APT title in the process having won his first in Event #25: Teams Event.
Lee locked up PHP 63,000 (~USD 1,070) for his runner-up finish, with Malaysia’s Owen Chong (3rd), and Denmark’s Lars Hougaard (4th) the only other players to make the money.

The action played out over seventeen turbo-charged 10-minute levels with Japan’s Yuji Yaginuma snagging the baby lion trophy and PHP 183,500 (~USD 3,120) top prize, overcoming the USA’s Rex Clinkscales to earn his second career APT title.
