TAIPEI, TAIWAN, September 28, 2024 – Mighty Tsui Han Hsiao proves she has what it takes to go toe-to-toe with the best as she claimed victory in Event #21: Single Day High Roller - Mystery Bounty. The local circuit regular also scores her highest cash prize in her poker career, a total of TWD 1,823,000 (~USD 57,709) including TWD 1,120,000 (~USD 35,454) in bounties. Hsiao astoundingly drew six bounties in her run towards her second APT title.
Hsiao faced Hong Kong’s Edward Chun Ho Yam, a global poker circuit traveller head’s up for the title. Chun ultimately finished second, gathering a prize purse of TWD 660,000 (~USD 20,892) including bounties. Fellow local Hung Jen Chen finished third, pocketing TWD 408,000 (~USD 12,915) including bounties.
Amazingly, Sebastian Largo from Brazil also managed to score six bounties in the event, but ultimately finished fifth. He brings home a total of TWD 905,000 (~USD 28,648), more than double his total career winnings prior to the event. The final payouts were as follows:

Field Record Broken in Event #20: 9 Game as Seong Hoon Seol Claims Victory
Seol brings home South Korea’s first trophy for the series.
South Korea’s Seong Hoon Seol emerged victorious after beating a record field that took part in Event #20: 9 Game. The event saw 102 entrants (95 unique) taking part, an APT record. The previous record was set during the APT Hanoi Billions 2023 at 54 entries.
Seol brings home the first trophy in the series for South Korea and prize money totalling TWD 202,488 (~USD 6,409). Coming in second was Adam James Greenlee from the United States, scoring TWD 173,000 (~USD 5,476). Rounding off the podium was Japan’s Takeo Kiuchi, taking home a neat TWD 101,000 (~USD 3,197).
China’s Chuning Tan, who yesterday claimed his first APT title in Event #11: PL Omaha Hi-Lo - 5 Card (Big O), adds another final table appearance in this series, finishing fifth for TWD 66,000 (~USD 2,089). The event paid out 15 participants, with the final table payouts as follows:

Sotoya Wins Maiden Title in Event #25: Turbo - PL Omaha Hi-Lo - 5 Card (Big O)
Japan’s Kensuke Sotoya claims maiden APT title.
Japan’s Kensuke Sotoya secured his first APT title in Event #25: Turbo - PL Omaha Hi-Lo - 5 Card (Big O). The Japanese amateur outlasted a field of PL Omaha masters to bring home TWD 176,632 (~USD 5,591) and the first trophy of his career.
Sotoya went head’s up against fellow amateur Pat Tao Leung from Hong Kong, who alongside fellow countryman Bernard Shek made up the top three of the event. Both take home TWD 121,000 (~USD 3,830) and TWD 78,000 (~USD 2,469) respectively.

Prachaya Blazes His Way to Victory in Event #27: Hyper Turbo - High Roller
Thailand’s Prachaya lays claim to this first APT title.
Thailand’s Suprachaicharoen Prachaya kicks off his tournament career in style as he emerges victorious in Event #27: Hyper Turbo - High Roller. Prachaya beat out a tough field of high-stakes players to lay claim to TWD 332,480 (~USD 10,524) in prize money and his first APT title.
Japan’s Numata Takahiro was his head’s up opponent. He, along with compatriot Nobuyuki Kawakami found Prachaya a tough nut to crack, eventually taking second and third place respectively. Takahiro takes home TWD 240,000 (~USD 7,597) while Kawakami pockets TWD 156,000 (~USD 4,938).
