PHU QUOC, VIETNAM, November 9, 2024 – China’s Xiaotong Yu, with over USD 300,000 in live tournament cashes, secured his first APT title in Event #10: Hyper Turbo - High Roller. Yu’s stellar performance outpaced a field of 20 high rollers (17 unique), earning him the top prize of VND 110,000,000 (~USD 4,331). Yu’s gained momentum to take first place after looking down on Aces after an all-in from third-placed Local Nguyen Thi My Phuong.
Fellow countryman Tianhao Zheng finished as the runner-up, taking home VND 73,330,000 (~USD 2,887), while Nguyen takes home VND 47,140,000 (~USD 1,855) for her third place finish. Australian pro Yita Choong also made a strong showing, claiming fourth place and VND 31,430,000 (~USD 1,237).

Seasoned pro Waki brings home hsi fourth APT title.
Japanese pro Yasuhiro Waki, with over USD 700,000 in live earnings, added another achievement to his impressive career by winning Event #7: PL Omaha High. The event featured 21 entries (15 unique), and Waki’s victory marked his fourth APT title overall, along with a VND 60,914,400 (~USD 2,398).

Japanese pro Nobuaki Sasaki, a seasoned player with over USD 300,000 in live cashes, claimed victory in Event #8: Short Deck - Double Chance. Sasaki navigated a competitive field of 25 entries (17 unique) to secure the top prize of VND 22,153,750 (~USD 872). This is Sasaki’s second APT title, with his last title coming in the previous iteration of APT Phu Quoc in 2023.

Chinese amateur Kaihua Huang captured his first APT title in Event #11: Super Hyper Turbo. In the hyper-paced format with five-minute levels, Huang emerged victorious from a field of 63 entries (58 unique), securing the top prize of VND 61,992,800 (~USD 2,440).
