PHU QUOC, VIETNAM, November 9, 2024 – China’s Xiaotong Yu, with over USD 300,000 in live tournament cashes, secured his first APT title in Event #10: Hyper Turbo - High Roller. Yu’s stellar performance outpaced a field of 20 high rollers (17 unique), earning him the top prize of VND 110,000,000 (~USD 4,331). Yu’s gained momentum to take first place after looking down on Aces after an all-in from third-placed Local Nguyen Thi My Phuong.

Fellow countryman Tianhao Zheng finished as the runner-up, taking home VND 73,330,000 (~USD 2,887), while Nguyen takes home VND 47,140,000 (~USD 1,855) for her third place finish. Australian pro Yita Choong also made a strong showing, claiming fourth place and VND 31,430,000 (~USD 1,237).

Japanese pro Yasuhiro Waki, with over USD 700,000 in live earnings, added another achievement to his impressive career by winning Event #7: PL Omaha High. The event featured 21 entries (15 unique), and Waki’s victory marked his fourth APT title overall, along with a VND 60,914,400 (~USD 2,398).

China’s Sun Hui came in second and claimed VND 40,610,000 (~USD 1,599) while New Zealand’s Daniel Adam Haywood rounded off the podium and took home VND 26,110,000 (~USD 1,028). The United Kingdom’s Jack Edward Moore rounded out the payouts, earning VND 17,400,000 (~USD 685).

Japanese pro Nobuaki Sasaki, a seasoned player with over USD 300,000 in live cashes, claimed victory in Event #8: Short Deck - Double Chance. Sasaki navigated a competitive field of 25 entries (17 unique) to secure the top prize of VND 22,153,750 (~USD 872). This is Sasaki’s second APT title, with his last title coming in the previous iteration of APT Phu Quoc in 2023.

Russia’s Ivan Ermin finished as the runner-up, taking home VND 14,770,000 (~USD 581), while China’s Wenjie Ren secured third place with VND 9,490,000 (~USD 374). Singapore’s Zhen Wei Yeo completed the payouts with VND 6,330,000 (~USD 249).

Belarus’ Chudapal Siarhei earned the runner-up spot, claiming VND 44,660,000 (~USD 1,757), while Canada’s Nguyen Jinny secured third place with VND 29,030,000 (~USD 1,142).
