We got to the table to see Jun Hao Wu had opened from the cutoff and Sergei Kim had made a three-bet to 625,000 on the button. When the action got back to Wu, he shoved all in for around 3,000,000 effective. Kim was deep in the tank but after a lot of thinking, he made the call to put himself at risk.

Kim looked deflated after seeing the situation he was now facing. There were still five cards to come but the 7♣ 6♦ Q♥ flop didn't offer any help to the Russian player.

What did offer help was the T♥ turn which improved Kim to a set and propelled him into the lead. Wu now needed a jack to win the pot but an A♥ river wasn't what he needed and Kim doubled up and took the chip lead.
