Japan’s Hayato Kitajima Wins Third APT Title in Event #56: Turbo - NL Omaha Hi-Lo - 5 Card (Big O)

The TWD 7,000 Event #56: Turbo - NL Omaha Hi-Lo - 5 Card (Big O) drew a field of 71 entries (45 unique), generating a TWD 424,239 (~USD 13,440) prize pool.

The action played out over nineteen fast-paced 15-min levels, with Japan’s Hayato Kitajima the man to claim the title, trophy, and TWD 123,239 (~USD 3,900) top prize.

Kitajima bested the UK’s Tan Luan Le heads-up to earn a third career APT title, with Le locking up TWD 89,000 (~USD 2,820) for his runner-up finish. The USA’s Tony Miles took bronze and a pay out of TWD 58,000 (~USD 1,835) for third, with double series PLO title winner Yuji Watanabe making yet another festival final table, taking TWD 44,000 (~USD 1,390) for fourth place.

Japan’s Naoto Takeya Earns Maiden APT Title in Event #58: Hyper Turbo - High Roller

The TWD 20,000 Event #58: Hyper Turbo - High Roller proved to be the most popular of the late-night high roller tournaments to play out so far this series, drawing 100 entries (86 unique) and generating a TWD 1,746,000 (~USD 55,320) prize pool.

The action played out over twenty-five turbo-charged 10-min levels with Japan’s Naoto Takeya claiming the accolades, besting Filipino-US player James Mendoza heads-up to earn a career-best score of TWD 447,000 (~USD 14,145) and his maiden APT title.

Mendoza, making his first final table appearance of the festival, banked TWD 307,000 (~USD 9,715) for his runner-up finish, with Thailand’s Saran Maneechot rounding out the podium and taking TWD 202,000 (~USD 6,390) for third place. A total of 15 players made the money, with the final table paying out as follows:

Japan’s Mayuko Morita Goes Wild, Winning Second Career APT Title in Event #59: Hyper Turbo - Deuces Wild

A fun take on No Limit Hold’em with deuces (twos) playing as wild cards, the TWD 10,000 Event 59: Hyper Turbo – Deuces Wild saw 39 players (31 unique) compete for a share of the TWD 336,687 (~USD 10,670) prize pool.

The action played out over twenty turbo-charged 10-minute levels, with Japan’s Mayuko Morita winning her way to the tournament top spot, defeating compatriot Hayato Obana heads-up to take the TWD 123,687 (~USD 3,915) top prize, claiming her second career APT title in the process.

Obana took TWD 86,000 (~USD 2,720) for second place, with Hong Kong’s Karen Tsang rounding out the winner’s triumvirate, taking TWD 55,000 (~USD 1,740) for third. A total of five players made the money, with the tournament paying out as follows:

Netherland’s Joris Mitchl Wins Third APT Title in Event #60: Hyper Turbo - NL Single Draw High

The Netherlands Joris Michl outlasted a 31-strong field (29 unique) in Event #60: Hyper Turbo - NL Single Draw High to claim the lion’s share of the TWD 156,965 (~USD 4,970) prize pool.

Michl defeated Taiwan’s Hung Hsiang Wu heads-up to take a TWD 57,965 (~USD 1,835) top prize, winning his third career APT title in the process.

Wu took TWD 40,000 (USD 1,265) for his runner-up finish, with compatriot Philip Wang, making his fifth final table appearance of the festival, won TWD 26,000 (~USD 820) for third place, with a total of five players making the money and the tournament paying out as follows:

Hong Kong’s Ka Chuen Yip Claims Maiden APT Title in Event #61: Super Hyper Turbo

The TWD 8,000 Event #61: Super Hyper Turbo drew a 102-strong field (91 unique), generating a TWD 696,537 (~USD 22,070) prize pool.

The action played out over twenty-six high-octane 5-minute levels, with Hong Kong’s Ka Chuen Yip taking down the tournament and earning a TWD 175,537 (~USD 5,560) top prize, in addition to a maiden APT title.

Compatriot Tsz Yeung Ka took second place, which was good for TWD 123,000 (~USD 3,890). The Philippines’ Mike Takayama jumped straight in to the action following his fifth place final table finish in Event #51 Single Day High Roller Mystery Bounty, following this up with a third place podium finish, which was good for a further TWD 80,000 (~USD 2,530).
