The fourth and final opening flight of the APT Main Event is in the books with Japan's Ryo Shishido sitting on top of the counts after accumulating 224,800 chips. A total of 156 entries (124 unique) were recorded with 71 players surviving the day who will all bring their stacks forward into Day 2.

It brings the total number of entries in the Main Event up to 1,043 but that number is expected to grow as registration remains open and will only close at the start of play on Day 2. The current prize pool stands at KRW 2,276,347,500 (~$1,643,820) which has already eclipsed the Main Event purse of APT Incheon which was the tour's last visit to South Korea.

Shishido picked up a bunch of chips during the last level of play when his pocket queens were too good against the pocket tens of Jun Lai. China's Zhendong Li, who won the APT Super High Roller earlier this series, pulled through the second biggest stack of 211,000 chips as he looks to claim his second APT lion trophy of the series.

Daniel Smiljkovic occupies tenth place on the fliight's leaderboard with 160,800 chips, a chunk of which came when he eliminated Jason Lau during level six.

Chinese professional Guangcheng Chen bagged up 154,800 which was good for twelfth in the counts. Chen recorded his first APT cash earlier this series with a fourth-place finish in a Single Day High Roller event for KRW 30,680,000 and has put himself in a good position to make another in the Main Event.

Other notables to make it through were Di Lu (113,500), Chi Jen Chen (91,600), Tianyuan Tang (89,000), Ben Loo (85,500), Shung Er Sua (82,500), and Christian Harder (55,000).

Wenbin Xu made an under-the-gun raise to 3,100 and got calls from Shuang Gao, Jia Long Ho, and Tsz Yueng Ka.

All four saw a monotone flop of 5♣ K♣ 9♣ which saw Xe make a continuation bet of 5,000. Only Ka made the call.
