Konstantin Held opened to 40,000 from first position, but the button, Lester Edoc, decided to go all-in for 280,000 after using a time bank. Held quickly called and found himself in good shape with Edoc holding A♠ J♦ against his Q♥ Q♠.

But just when it seemed like Held was in control, the river brought down the A♣, giving Edoc the double-up he needed! Tough break for the German!

A Huge Pot for Ethan 'Rampage' Yau

PostedJust nowby Life of Poker - Oli

APT_TAIPEI(G)_E12_APT_SHR_D1-39.JPG

Greg Smith defended his small blind against Ethan Yau’s open from the cut-off.

The flop came 4♥ K♥ 4♠ and both players checked. On the 2♣ turn, Yau bet 50,000, nearly a full pot, which Smith called.

The river brought the 8♠ and after a third check from Smith, Yau downsized to 80,000. Greg quickly released his cards, giving Yau a much-needed pot to escape his chip stack nearing the danger zone.
